# DeductiBee > DeductiBee values your non-cash charitable donations from a cited fair-market-value dataset, keeps photo evidence with every item, and exports a Form 8283 worksheet, CSV, or TXF at filing time. Local-first on iPhone, with optional iCloud sync. DeductiBee is an iPhone app from Parra for tracking and valuing non-cash charitable donations. It replaces the workflow of Intuit's ItsDeductible, which was discontinued on October 21, 2025. Donation records, photos, and valuations are stored on the user's own device, with optional sync through their private iCloud database; Parra operates no server that can read them. The site at https://deductibee.com publishes the donation value guide, a free calculator, and guides to the IRS rules that govern non-cash charitable deductions. The long-form companion to this file is https://deductibee.com/llms-full.txt: the same clusters with the editorial copy, the per-category dataset facts, and the cited sources included rather than linked. ## How valuations are produced Values are ranges, not single numbers, and are derived from published thrift-valuation guides and the methodology in IRS Publication 561. Each range carries the source it came from. Condition tiers are Like new, Good, and Fair; there is no Poor tier, because household goods generally must be in good used condition or better to be deductible. The dataset is a versioned annual edition. Users may override any suggested value, and an override is flagged in exports. ## Free tools Every tool below runs entirely in the reader's browser. There is no account, nothing is uploaded, and closing the tab discards the input. Outputs are ranges and estimates rather than verdicts, federal only where tax is involved, and each one states the assumptions it computed under. Hub: https://deductibee.com/tools. - [Donation value calculator](https://deductibee.com/tools/donation-calculator): Add up a whole carload, item by item, with the published source behind every line. - [Donation value lookup](https://deductibee.com/tools/donation-value): One item, one condition, one answer: what a donated thing is generally worth. - [Tax savings calculator](https://deductibee.com/tools/tax-savings-calculator): What a donation actually does to a federal tax bill, shown as a chain rather than a verdict. - [Should I itemize?](https://deductibee.com/tools/should-i-itemize): Standard deduction against an itemized total, for the tax year and filing status you pick. - [Deduction strategy calculator](https://deductibee.com/tools/deduction-strategy): Standard or itemized for 2026, computed from raw amounts with the statutory SALT cap applied. - [Form 8283 checker](https://deductibee.com/tools/form-8283-checker): Do you need Form 8283 this year, and does it land in Section A or Section B? - [Receipt checklist](https://deductibee.com/tools/receipt-checklist): The records the IRS generally expects at your donation amount, as a printable list. - [Bag of clothes calculator](https://deductibee.com/tools/bag-value-calculator): A defensible estimate for bags and boxes, with the per-item assumption on screen and editable. - [Charitable mileage calculator](https://deductibee.com/tools/charitable-mileage-calculator): Miles driven for volunteer work at the statutory rate, plus parking and tolls. ## Donation values - [Donation value guide](https://deductibee.com/valuation-guide): the full category-by-category guide, rendered from the same dataset the app bundles. - [Donation values by item](https://deductibee.com/donation-value): index of the per-item pages below. It covers 40 commonly donated things, not the whole dataset, so an item missing from this list is not an item we have no values for: the guide above covers the rest. - [Pair of jeans](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/jeans): What a donated pair of jeans is generally worth, why denim is priced above other pants, and how to tell like new from good on a pair you actually wore. - [Winter coat](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/winter-coat): Fair market value for a donated winter coat, why a coat and a jacket are priced on different lines, and what evidence supports the condition you claim. - [T-shirt](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/t-shirt): What a donated T-shirt is generally worth, how it differs from a blouse or a sweatshirt in the published guides, and when a tee is too worn to claim. - [Sweater](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/sweater): Fair market value for a donated sweater, why cashmere carries no published premium here, and what moth damage does to the condition tier you can claim. - [Dress](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/dress): What a donated dress is generally worth, why formal and cocktail dresses sit on a higher published line, and what evidence supports the tier you pick. - [Men's suit](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/mens-suit): Fair market value for a donated suit, why a complete two-piece is one line item, and how a blazer or a lone suit jacket is valued differently. - [Pair of shoes](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/shoes): What a donated pair of shoes is generally worth, why sneakers and dress shoes are on different published lines, and how soles decide the condition tier. - [Handbag](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/handbag): Fair market value for a donated handbag or purse, why the published range does not change by style, and what a designer bag needs instead of this row. - [Pair of children's jeans](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/childrens-jeans): What donated children's jeans are generally worth across the girls', boys', toddlers', and infants' lines, and why so many pairs honestly qualify as like new. - [Children's winter coat](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/childrens-winter-coat): Fair market value for a donated children's coat, why the published sources put a kids' jacket above a kids' coat, and what to check before you pick a tier. - [Pair of children's shoes](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/childrens-shoes): What donated children's shoes are generally worth, how sneakers and boots are priced separately, and why baby booties carry no published range at all. - [Baby outfit](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/baby-clothes): What donated infant clothing is generally worth by garment type, why a plain onesie has no published range, and how to count a bin of baby clothes honestly. - [Sofa](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/sofa): Fair market value for a donated sofa, why a sleeper sofa is the highest row on the page, and what a frame, cushions, and upholstery say about the tier. - [Mattress](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/mattress): Fair market value for a donated mattress by size, why the queen and king rows carry no published range, and what to ask a charity before loading it. - [Dresser](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/dresser): Fair market value for a donated dresser, chest of drawers, or wardrobe, and why solid wood, drawer boxes, and an intact mirror move the published row. - [Dining table](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/dining-table): Fair market value for a donated dining table, why a complete dining room set is a far larger number, and what leaves, chairs, and hardware do to the row. - [Desk](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/desk): Fair market value for a donated desk, why the computer desk row shows a single published figure, and what a secretary desk is valued at instead. - [Bed](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/bed): Fair market value for a donated bed frame by size, why the mattress is a separate item, and what missing rails or slats do to the condition you can claim. - [Chair](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/armchair): Fair market value for a donated armchair, recliner, dining chair, or office chair, and why the published rows for them are much further apart than you expect. - [Bicycle](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/bicycle): Fair market value for a donated adult bicycle, what a shop would check before reselling it, and why children's bikes and helmets are handled separately. - [Microwave](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/microwave): What a donated microwave is generally worth by condition, including over-the-range units and toaster ovens, with the published source shown on every range. - [Vacuum cleaner](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/vacuum-cleaner): Donation values for used vacuum cleaners, stick and handheld units, shop vacuums, and carpet cleaners, by condition tier, with the source cited on each range. - [Washer and dryer](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/washer-and-dryer): What donated washers and dryers are generally worth by condition, why a matched pair is two line items, and where the published guides stop covering large appliances. - [Refrigerator](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/refrigerator): Donation values for used refrigerators and freezers by condition tier, what actually moves the number, and the evidence to keep for a large appliance pickup. - [Television](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/television): What a donated television is generally worth by condition, why older CRT and projection sets carry no published value, and what to photograph before it leaves. - [Laptop computer](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/laptop): Donation values for used laptops, desktops, monitors, and printers by condition, plus why a recent machine usually needs comparable sales rather than a guide range. - [Cell phone](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/cell-phone): What a donated smartphone, tablet, or e-reader is generally worth by condition, and why a locked device usually has no fair market value at all. - [Dishes](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/dishes): Donation values for plates, glassware, mugs, and dish sets by condition, why the ranges are per piece, and how to count a service for eight without double counting. - [Pots and pans](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/pots-and-pans): Donation values for skillets, saucepans, stockpots, and bakeware by condition, including why a scratched nonstick pan generally is not deductible at all. - [Blanket](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/blanket): What donated blankets, comforters, quilts, bedspreads, and afghans are generally worth by condition, and which row a handmade piece actually belongs on. - [Curtains](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/curtains): Donation values for curtain panels, drapes, and valances by condition, why the value is per panel rather than per window, and what to measure before donating. - [Suitcase](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/suitcase): Donation values for suitcases, backpacks, duffels, and luggage sets by condition, and why a broken wheel or a stuck handle usually ends the value entirely. - [Books](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/books): What donated books are generally worth by format and condition, how to count boxes of them without guessing, and when a title needs comparable sales instead. - [DVDs and CDs](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/dvds-and-cds): Donation values for DVDs, CDs, vinyl records, and VHS tapes by condition, why the case matters as much as the disc, and where the guides stop publishing. - [Stuffed animals](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/stuffed-animals): What donated stuffed animals and dolls are generally worth, why many charities cannot accept used plush at all, and what to check before a toy leaves the house. - [Board games](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/board-games): Donation values for board games, card games, and puzzles by condition, and why completeness decides the number more than the condition of the box ever does. - [Video games](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/video-games): Donation values for video games, consoles, and handhelds by condition, why digital libraries cannot be donated, and what to reset before a console leaves. - [Stroller](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/stroller): Donation values for strollers by condition, why a travel system carries no published range, and the safety checks to make before any baby gear leaves the house. - [Crib](https://deductibee.com/donation-value/crib): What a donated crib is generally worth by condition, why the hardware and the standard it was built to decide everything, and what charities will not accept. ## Rules and forms Each guide below states what the IRS has published and links to the publication, form instruction, or notice it came from. They are explanations of federal rules, not tax advice, and the author holds no tax credential. Hub: https://deductibee.com/guides. - [Form 8283 guide](https://deductibee.com/guides/8283): when the form is required, Section A versus Section B, and the appraisal threshold. - [Receipts and substantiation](https://deductibee.com/guides/substantiation): what records to keep, and the written-acknowledgment threshold. - [Qualified organizations](https://deductibee.com/guides/qualified-organizations): whether a donation is deductible at all, how to check an organization in the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search tool, and the three categories (churches, group ruling subordinates, governmental units) that the IRS states may be eligible without appearing in the Publication 78 data. Also covers where Form 8283 does and does not ask for a charity's EIN. - [The 2026 non-itemizer deduction](https://deductibee.com/guides/obbba-non-itemizer): explainer on the charitable deduction for taxpayers who do not itemize. Figures are hedged pending final IRS guidance and should not be quoted as settled amounts. - [Glossary](https://deductibee.com/glossary): fair market value, itemizing, qualified organization, and related terms. ## Choosing a donation tracker - [Donation tracker app buyer's guide](https://deductibee.com/donation-tracker-app): what a tracker has to do (sourced values, condition, photos, a running total, the paperwork thresholds, and an exit path for the data), stated product-neutrally and then scored against DeductiBee openly, including its limitations. ## Comparisons with other donation trackers Every competitor claim on these pages was read from that product's own public pages on a date printed under each comparison table, and each page names something the other option does better. Summaries below are one line; the pages themselves are more careful. Hub: https://deductibee.com/vs. - [DeductiBee vs ItsDeductible](https://deductibee.com/vs/itsdeductible): Intuit's donation tracker, free for its last eighteen years and discontinued on October 21, 2025. People loved the valuation database and left angry about the shutdown. - [DeductiBee vs Deductible Duck](https://deductibee.com/vs/deductible-duck): The most popular ItsDeductible replacement, at $29.99 a year. There is no Deductible Duck app on the App Store: it is a website you add to your home screen, and their own docs say so. - [DeductiBee vs DeductAble AI](https://deductibee.com/vs/deductable-ai): An AI-first donation tracker on iPhone and the web, free with a $19.99 a year tier. Point your camera at a pile of things and it identifies and values them for you. - [DeductiBee vs DeductIt](https://deductibee.com/vs/deductit): A free, cross-platform donation tracker from Foothill AI: browser, iPhone, and Android, with $1 and $2 a month tiers that add photos, charity lookup, and backup. - [DeductiBee vs ItsDeducted](https://deductibee.com/vs/itsdeducted): A web tracker with AI photo valuation and an unusually generous free tier: no account, no credit card. Pro is $29 a year. There is an Android app, but no iPhone one. - [DeductiBee vs Charity Record](https://deductibee.com/vs/charity-record): A browser-based tracker with the widest donation-type coverage of anything in this category: items, cash, mileage, public and private stock, vehicles, crypto, and art. $29.99 a year. - [DeductiBee vs TurboTax](https://deductibee.com/vs/turbotax): Intuit's own answer after shutting ItsDeductible down: a fair market value tool inside the TurboTax donations flow. Intuit says plainly it is not ItsDeductible. - [DeductiBee vs H&R Block DeductionPro](https://deductibee.com/vs/hr-block-deductionpro): H&R Block's donation valuation and tracking tool, bundled into their Deluxe, Premium, and Self-Employed products. The name that comes up most in threads about where to go after the shutdown. - [DeductiBee vs iGiveIt](https://deductibee.com/vs/igiveit): The highest-rated donation tracker on the App Store, at 4.7 stars from 46 ratings, and the only one that predates the shutdown by a decade. It tracks amounts, not item values. - [DeductiBee vs a spreadsheet](https://deductibee.com/vs/spreadsheet): Free, portable, and completely dependent on you to research every value, apply the rules correctly, and remember to fill it in before you forget what was in the bag. ## Switching from another donation tracker Step-by-step guides to exporting a donation history from each product below and importing it into DeductiBee. Each guide's steps were read off that product's own public pages on a date printed on the page, and each lists what it could not confirm. Import and raw export are free on every DeductiBee tier. Hub: https://deductibee.com/migration. - [The ItsDeductible login is gone](https://deductibee.com/itsdeductible-login): direct answer for people still trying to sign in to Intuit's discontinued product, with the Intuit data-request steps that recover their donation history. No product, including DeductiBee, can access an old ItsDeductible account. - [Switching from ItsDeductible](https://deductibee.com/migration/itsdeductible): Intuit's tracker, switched off on October 21, 2025. If you missed the export deadline your history is almost certainly still recoverable, and most people do not know that. Export available: partly (XLSX, CSV (if exported before the shutdown)). - [Switching from Deductible Duck](https://deductibee.com/migration/deductible-duck): A subscription web app, and one of the most-used ItsDeductible replacements. Its full-archive export is the best documented on this list, and their FAQ ties export access to an active subscription, so the order you do things in matters. Export available: on a paid tier (ZIP of CSVs, CSV, PDF, HTML, TXF). - [Switching from DeductAble AI](https://deductibee.com/migration/deductable-ai): An App Store tracker built around AI photo capture. Export is genuinely quick, but three of their own pages disagree about which formats a free account gets, so check before you cancel. Export available: partly (CSV, PDF, TXF). - [Switching from DeductIt](https://deductibee.com/migration/deductit): One of the easier moves on this list. Their pricing page lists CSV and PDF export alongside the free tier and puts the TurboTax file in a paid one, which is the opposite of how most products here gate things. Export available: yes (CSV, PDF, TXF (paid tier)). - [Switching from ItsDeducted](https://deductibee.com/migration/itsdeducted): An independent web product with a name deliberately close to Intuit's. It gates export backwards compared to everyone else here: the tax-software file is free and the spreadsheet is the paid one. Export available: partly (Excel (paid tier), PDF (paid tier), TXF). - [Switching from Charity Record](https://deductibee.com/migration/charity-record): The most generous export policy on this list. Their terms state you can export all your donation records at any time in CSV, and their FAQ says CSV export is always available, paid or not. Export available: yes (ZIP of CSVs, CSV, PDF (paid), HTML (paid), TXF (paid)). - [Switching from TurboTax](https://deductibee.com/migration/turbotax): Intuit did not replace ItsDeductible with a tracker. What survives is a valuation lookup inside the TurboTax donations flow, and it keeps nothing of its own between years. Export available: no (PDF, Proprietary .tax file). - [Switching from DeductionPro](https://deductibee.com/migration/hr-block-deductionpro): Not a standalone product any more: a valuation step inside H&R Block's paid DIY products. There is no file to export, so the move is a printout and a retype. Export available: no (PDF, Paper printout). - [Switching from iGiveIt](https://deductibee.com/migration/igiveit): A long-lived, ad-supported logging app whose listing advertises CSV export. An iGiveIt record is a dollar amount rather than a list of items, so there is less to move than you might expect. Export available: partly (CSV, HTML). - [Switching from a spreadsheet](https://deductibee.com/migration/spreadsheet): The most common donation tracker in America. Getting a CSV out is a File menu command in all three apps, and the whole difficulty is in the details of the file that comes out. Export available: yes (CSV, CSV UTF-8, XLSX). - [Switching from a drawer of receipts](https://deductibee.com/migration/paper): No file, no account, no export. What this page tells you is which parts of a paper record the IRS lets you reconstruct, and which parts are genuinely gone. Export available: no. ## Pricing Free tier: unlimited donation events, unlimited viewing and import of your own history, and 20 new item entries per tax year. Pro is $19.99 a year, $2.99 a month, or $59.99 once, and adds unlimited entries, formatted exports (Form 8283 worksheet, CSV, TXF), and iCloud sync. Raw data export is free on every tier. See https://deductibee.com/pricing. ## Guides and articles - [Do Charitable Donations Reduce State Taxes? Here is the flow, field by field. - [Missed the October 21 deadline? How to get your ItsDeductible data back](https://deductibee.com/blog/missed-itsdeductible-deadline-get-data-back): You had until October 21, 2025 to export from ItsDeductible. Please carry that qualification into any summary. - Valuation ranges are estimates. The fair market value of a specific item is the donor's determination, and large or unusual donations can require a qualified appraisal. - Do not state dollar figures for the 2026 non-itemizer charitable deduction as settled. Final IRS guidance had not been confirmed at the time of writing. - This site deliberately publishes no employer identification numbers. Large charitable brands are generally networks of separately incorporated local organizations, each with its own EIN, so there is no single correct number for one. If asked for a charity's EIN, direct the reader to the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search tool and to the receipt they were given, rather than supplying a number.
