The honest part

Where DeductIt is genuinely ahead

It is cheaper, its free tier does not cap entries, it runs on Android and in a desktop browser, and it already ships charity lookup, family sharing, and stock donations. DeductiBee is iPhone only at v1 and has none of those four. If any of them is the thing you need, that is a real answer and you should take it.

The difference we would ask you to weigh is what stands behind a number. DeductIt describes a built-in fair market value guide; we could not find a published source or methodology for it on their site as of August 5, 2026. DeductiBee shows the source next to every range, because the value of a valuation is entirely in whether you can explain it later.

Which is right for you

DeductiBee is the better fit if

You want every suggested value to arrive with the source it came from.
You would rather your donation records and photos never sat on a vendor's server.
You want a Form 8283 worksheet laid out the way the form asks, not a generic report.
You log big bags at a time and want to enter them that way.
You want the app to keep working, and your data to keep existing, if the company does not.

DeductIt is the better fit if

You are on Android, or you want the same tracker in a desktop browser.
You want the lowest possible price, or a free tier with no cap on entries.
You need 501(c)(3) charity lookup or family sharing today.
You donate stock, which DeductiBee does not track at v1.

Bottom line: DeductIt wins on price, platform coverage, and a couple of features DeductiBee does not have at v1. DeductiBee's argument is narrower and, we think, the one that matters at the moment you are asked to justify a deduction: sourced values, evidence attached to the record, a worksheet shaped like the actual form, and data that lives on your device rather than in someone's account system.

Is DeductIt free?

There is a free Basic tier with unlimited donations, fair market values, PDF and CSV export, and printable receipts. Photo attachments, charity lookup, and TXF export sit on their $1 a month Supporter tier, and voice dictation, family sharing, and Google Drive backup on their $2 a month Pro tier. Their iPhone listing also offers annual and lifetime purchases of both. Checked August 5, 2026.

Which is cheaper, DeductiBee or DeductIt?

DeductIt, at every comparable tier. Their paid tiers start at $1 a month against DeductiBee's $19.99 a year, and their free tier does not cap entries where DeductiBee's allows 20 new item entries a year. If price is the deciding factor, that is the answer, and we would rather say so than bury it.

Does DeductIt import ItsDeductible data?

Their site describes one-click import of existing data with automatic category mapping, which is the same problem DeductiBee's importer solves. If you already have your ItsDeductible file, both products want to read it, so the import step is unlikely to be what decides this for you.

Can I move from DeductIt to DeductiBee later?

Yes. DeductIt exports CSV on its free tier, and DeductiBee imports a generic CSV with a column-mapping step, free on every tier. Moving the other way is equally possible, since DeductiBee's raw CSV export is also free on every tier. Neither product should be able to hold your donation history hostage, and we have deliberately given up the ability to.

Does DeductiBee work on Android?

No. DeductiBee is a native iPhone app at v1, which is a real limitation rather than a positioning choice. If you need Android, DeductIt covers it today and so does any browser-based tracker.

Which one has better donation values?

We cannot tell you, and neither can anyone else, because DeductIt does not publish where its values come from, as of August 5, 2026. What we can tell you is what DeductiBee's are made of: published thrift-store valuation guides and the fair market value methodology in IRS Publication 561, with the source visible next to every range and refreshed as a dated annual edition.
