A native replacement for ItsDeductible

Turn donation bags into deductions you can document.

Log a drop-off in about a minute. DeductiBee prices every item from cited fair-market-value guides, keeps the photos and receipts with the records, and hands you a Form 8283 worksheet at filing time.

How it works

Three steps, once per drop-off

Log the bag, let DeductiBee price what was in it, export the proof at filing time. That is the whole workflow.

  1. 1. Log the drop-off

Pick the organization and the date. Add a photo of the receipt they hand you, and DeductiBee tells you when the amount crosses a threshold that needs one.

A saved drop-off in DeductiBee worth $473 across 9 items, marked as a pickup, with a note that gifts over $250 generally need a written acknowledgment and a checkmark showing one is on file, above the list of items and their conditions
  2. 2. Add what was in the bag

Search the category, then count the bag straight into the condition tiers. The value range and the guide it came from come with it.

Bag entry in DeductiBee: one item counted 3 Like new at $80, 8 Good at $55 and 2 Fair at $25, showing the published range across conditions, a note that only one guide prices this item, the source it came from, and an Add 13 items button totalling $730
  3. 3. Export at filing time

A Form 8283 worksheet, a CSV, or a TXF for your tax software, with any value you overrode clearly flagged.

The DeductiBee export screen: JSON and CSV listed as free on every plan, then the formatted-for-filing group with a manual-entry summary, a Form 8283 worksheet PDF, a summary CSV grouped by organization, a TurboTax Desktop TXF file, a donation receipt PDF and a pre-donation worksheet
Coming from ItsDeductible

Bring your history, keep your deductions

Intuit discontinued ItsDeductible on October 21, 2025. If you exported your data, DeductiBee imports it. If you missed the window, it is generally still recoverable from Intuit, and the guide below walks through how.

  • Import is free on every tier, forever. Your own history is never behind a paywall.
  • Imported years stay viewable and exportable whether or not you subscribe.
  • Nothing you import is uploaded anywhere. The file is read on your device.
Nothing to shut down

Your records live on your phone, and they stay there

DeductiBee has no account and no server. There is nothing for anyone, including us, to switch off, and no copy of your donation history anywhere we could read it.

  1. September 2, 2025A banner on the ItsDeductible product page still read, in Intuit's own words, that the service would continue. It had been there since the 2022 reversal.
  2. September 6, 2025The shutdown notice was up in its place: download your data before 10/21/25.
  3. October 21, 2025The service closed. Anything not downloaded stopped being available from the product, after roughly twenty years of records for some people.

Four days from “the service will continue” to a shutdown notice. DeductiBee is built so that can never happen to your records: donations, values, and photos are stored on your iPhone, sync runs through your own private iCloud database we cannot read, and raw export is free on every tier, so a full copy is always one tap away.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What happened to ItsDeductible?
Intuit discontinued ItsDeductible on October 21, 2025. Users were given a window to export their donation history before the service closed. If you missed it, your data is generally still recoverable through Intuit's account data-request process, and DeductiBee can import the file you get back.
Where do the donation values come from?
Each range is derived independently from published thrift-store valuation guides and the valuation methodology in IRS Publication 561, and every range shows the source it came from. Values are ranges by condition tier, refreshed as a versioned annual edition. None of it is copied from any other product's valuation guide. Read the whole guide.
Do I need to file Form 8283?
Generally, yes, once your deduction for non-cash contributions passes $500. Deductions above $5,000 for an item or a group of similar items generally also require a qualified appraisal and Section B of the form. Our Form 8283 guide walks the whole ladder in plain language; see the Instructions for Form 8283 for the conditions that apply to your situation.
Can I use DeductiBee if I do not itemize?
You can track and document donations either way, and many people find the running total is what tells them whether itemizing is worth it. Whether a deduction is available to non-itemizers for a given tax year depends on current law, which is why the guides on this site hedge that question rather than quoting a figure that may change. See the 2026 non-itemizer guide for what the IRS has actually published, or the page written for that situation.
What does it cost?
Free to use, with 20 new item entries per tax year, unlimited donation events, and unlimited import and viewing of your own history. Pro is $19.99 a year with a 7-day trial, $2.99 a month, or $59.99 once, and adds unlimited entries, unlimited photos per item, the formatted exports, year-over-year comparisons, and iCloud sync. Exporting your raw data is free on every tier. See the full breakdown on the pricing page.
Is DeductiBee tax advice?
No. DeductiBee is record-keeping software that helps you value and document donations, built by a founder who is not a CPA, enrolled agent, or attorney. It cites primary sources so you can check the rule yourself, and anything that affects a return should be confirmed with a qualified tax professional. More about who builds it.
